I find this set kind of bib for my 7 years old son but on the other side it looks very tough, very hard to break so on that matter I think I made a good choice and I would recommand it .

I bought the youth pro pad set (for ages 8 to 14) to accompany a ripstick my 10 year old son received for Christmas. Overall, the pads are great. They are sturdy and will protect your child when or if they fall.

However, my son is skinny, therefore, he swims in these pads. The elbow pads, if worn as elbow pads, cover his whole arm and they look extremely huge on his small body. Therefore, the elbow pads fit better as knee pads. The knee pads will also work for his knees, so I guess he got two sets of knee pads for Christmas.

I gave the pad set three stars because I feel they could have been more specific in the description of the product, however, they are very protective of my sons knees.

TSG Black Wrist Guard Review

A little background:
I ordered these (large size) to protect my wrists while snowboarding. Given I’m in the east, the trails here can be very unforgiving; we tend to get hard, icy, packed-down snow. As luck would have it, I sprained my left wrist before they arrived. Amazon said they would come in 3 days when I ordered them at 1am; they arrived the next day. *thumbs up*

Pros:
-Humbly priced
-Well made
-Provides comfortably firm support for my sprained wrist
-Performs its job function

Cons:
-The (p)leather rubs the skin between my thumb and index finger raw when I wear the guard for prolonged periods of time. However to its credit, it’s very mild; perhaps it’s just my big hands.
***This may be an issue for skateboarders, however as a snowboarder I wear under-armor gloves so it’s not a problem.
-If you plan on wearing gloves over these you might want to consider getting the next size up. I have a very nice pair of Burton Gore-Tex gloves that *just barely* fit.

For the price, you can’t go wrong!

Pros:

* The material construction is of good quality.
* Good protection with supports in front and back of wrists.

Cons:

* Kind of bulky.
* The metal bar for the back of the wrist is very uncomfortable for my wrists. For some reason they designed it so the stitching here is very thick and uneven, so juts into the back of your wrist. I’m not sure this surface which is intended to contact the back of the wrist isn’t smooth.

Unfortunately, these wrist guards are uncomfortable enough that I’m going to have to return them.

These wrist guards are exceptionally well made. With a built-in metal bar protecting the wrist, I feel much better sbout my son avoiding injury if he falls off his ripstick.

I haven’t had to use a wrist guard in quite some time, so I don’t really have anything to compare these too. I purchased these because I wanted to start rollerblading again and wrist guard were the most important padding for me. The only complaint I have about them is that I get very sweaty underneath them, but I am assuming that is an issue with all wrist guards since there isn’t really any way to vent them. I am sure there is some sort of material that may soak up the sweat better, but I am not sure what it would be. I haven’t fallen yet, so I am also not too sure on how effective they are, but they seem sturdy.

You saved my son’s Life
On August 31st my 10-year-old son, named Quincy, was racing down a hill on his bicycle. As he came to bottom of the hill there was a stop sign but he was riding to fast to yield to the oncoming vehicle. Within seconds, he and a small truck collided. As he hit the tuck, putting a 6 inch dent in the front fender, he was then thrown into the windshield and fell to the ground unconscious. Overall, the accident caused a mild concussion, a lot of bruises and abrasions and a broken right arm. Thankfully an abdominal CT showed no internal injuries.
After going to the ER by ambulance we were discharged and returned home. Before leaving the hospital parking lot, I thought I would take a moment and look at his helmet. Oddly, there was a wrinkle across the back of his helmet. I showed it to the ER doctor and he stated that without the safety the helmet my son would have had some level of head trauma. Wow, what a miracle!
I quickly recalled, that only about 6 weeks earlier, I purchased two Razor V-17 helmets–one for him and another for his older brother. At the time I was only going to buy one for his older brother but I remember having a distinct impression to buy one for him also. I am so grateful I did. When I consider how most people rely on a high power for direction their life, I too believe that a higher power, who I call the Holy Spirit, had impressed upon my mind to purchase this extra helmet. I have been raised a member of the Mormon Church or who is known as (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) and taught that the Lord knows all things and understands our lives and what transpires daily. Little did I know that the Lord knew events that would transpire in my son’s life in the few days that would follow. I will be eternally grateful for the Saviors’ understanding and knowledge of our life on this earth. He really wants us to be happy and never wants us to suffer and feel pain and sorrow. In just a few seconds or with a slightly different decision on my part it could have changed the course of the life of my son and our family.
I would like to thank Razor for the safety that their helmet gave my son. My small boy’s life could have been changed forever. I am so grateful for the people that have engineered the helmet he wore that day. Thank you, Thank you, with all my heart.

Helmet did not fit my 10 year old as product description indicated. It was too big even with the adjustment pads included. The helmet itself looks like good quality but would not buy something online that needs to be fitted again as this helmet will sit in the closet until my daughter can wear it.

Parents, this helmet is worth every penny. My son escaped critical, if not fatal injury thanks to this helmet. Long story short, my 10 year old was moving along at about 15 mph on his electric scooter when a younger child ran in front of him. While avoiding the child, he lost control of his scooter, hit a curb, flipped over the handle bars and smashed his head on the trailer hitch of a parked truck. The point of impact was on the lower back of his head where many helmets do not cover. Thanks to the design of this helmet, it absorbed the brunt of the impact. While he did suffer a serious concussion, it could have ended tragically had it not been for the extra protection this helmet provided. I’d not hesitate to recommend this helmet to other parents. Having said that, whichever helmet you decide to purchase, make sure it protects the entire head!

Razor didn’t hold it’s charge – Snoopy – Bay Area, CA USA
We pay the scooter, but the first time we took it for a ride, it had only minutes of juice for about 10 minutes. Then we tried to recharge it, and it did not work at all. We turned it (it was quick, easy and efficient with Amazon back) and the new delay came within 2 days after ordering. We'll see if it just a coincidence. The scooter ask ships in it's orignial box with very little protective packaging, so that if it slapped around too much.
