Razor A5 Lux Scooter Review

Razor A5 Lux Scooter
My 3 grandchildren had scooters with small wheels () less than 4 cm in diameter, and when she rode on the sidewalk, street, or on the playground, they would occasionally catch a crack and go upside down. Also for some uneven surfaces, they had their scooters by foot.

When I was a child, had our scooters larger wheels and we not have these problems. So to break where the sub-scooter 'started, I looked at bigger wheels replacement.

There area few more 7 to 8 inches in diameter wheeled scooters out there, but after consideration, I choose this RAZOR) A5 (with 7.87 inches wheels) because of its price, solid tires (better performance and no flats, and rear brake (no goes over the edge, if, before braking hard).

Even if this model does not weigh much more than the smaller wheeled scooters. Even if the manufacturer's website says that the A5 weighs 13 pounds, weighs just over 8 pounds in myShipping Scale. The old roller weighed about 7 pounds.

I bought 3 of these a week ago, and the grandchildren love them because they can go faster and much farther coast. Nor do they capture the cracks and can be ridden smaller places on wheels who could not. I'm happy because I did not do with more cuts and abrasions.

The A5 is more expensive than the smaller wheeled scooter around $[...], but when you consider that the grandchildren they are likely to use forseveral years with more joy and less scratches and dents, the additional cost (a buck and 2 each a month) I was worth.

If you have time to read the review by Roy F. (a very good contribution) with much more information.

Wonderful Scooter for all ages at a great price – Danny T. Moore – DC Area (NVA)
A compact, foldable kick scooter, you could throw in the trunk or on a plane to be ridden by a 5 to 75 years old to under $ 75? This is definitely the right way! I go with the A5 Lux, and my 5-year-old granddaughter and we have a ball (thanks to the height adjust handlebars). You could go cheaper with another Razor model, but the big wheels and the capacity for adults is worth a few extra dollar against other Razor models. This is truly a life-long toy, can you makeoverall. I know there are others out there (pal – I bought first and enjoy or xootr that is) very expensive, but for that price, wow, you can not go wrong.

The Mercedes-Benz of scooters – F. Zupancic – CA United States
My family and I love this scooter. We argue about who gets to go to meet our standard razor. The A5 is a smooth ride and handles much better than smaller cracks wheel razor. The only drawback is that it takes a while to master the larger wheel brakes, which requires a less comfortable foot position. Other than that, it's awesome.

A Better Alternative to Bicycling – J. Chao – West New York NJ
I think A5 Lux Razor Scooter in combination with public transport, if I go from NJ to NYC. I would say on average, I commute to cut about 15 to 30 minutes alone on the. For me, this benefit alone is worth the purchase of this scooter. In addition, it also allows me to go around the city without the need for a subway train in most cases the use will be a nightmare on the weekends because of failures. This thing is super light and much more convenient than a bicycle from a distance. Ittakes a few seconds to fold and unfold.

In the future, when I was on holiday, I am definitely bring this with you when you travel. In this way I get to checkout the local scene, which I find much more interesting than the usual tourist traps.

I would definitely give it 5 stars if it (pick up the pace, perhaps with ceramic ball bearings ABEC-7), which I would be willing to pay more money.

Good adult kick-scooter for short rides – Edward A. Averill – Austin, TX, USA
I looked for something along the lines of the bus stop to / from the office, and I finally decided on the A5 Lux on the basis of other reviews to try. Well, I'm a kick-scooter beginners, this is how things "happen out of the box".

Installation and customization was a breeze, took all 10 minutes. Then I took it outside for a "test drive" in our rather hilly office park parking lot. On the sidewalk, it was paved with many stumbling blocks, I ended up bending my knees as I was skiing, which worked out OK. ThePavement was much smoother, but where are the gaps had widened between the blocks, it was a hard bounce.

The friction brake was sufficient to stop the task to my departure savage, I am 210lbs and slowing me is not so easy!

The large wheels were nice, very little rolling resistance. I'll drive it to the bus stop (about) a mile and then the bus back home about 3 blocks (), so that it then a good break-in, but I think it will be good. It is quite good, and I builtnot notice any loose parts or fasteners, to the bad to me.

I would not want to kick scoot-puttering around a long way, but also that works well.

* Update * After a few weeks of hard riding, here are some observations! First, it is a rough ride on rough pavement – if you are serious, expect sore knees and wrists. Secondly, the ground clearance WATCH! If you a strong attack on the sidewalk or pavement, you can "bottom out" and end with the roller downward. For relatively flat andBump-free terrain, it is good, but when you on the street or sidewalk for more than fragmented, it's more excitement than you probably want.
