Kent Super Scooter Review
The shipping was very fast and just in time for Christmas. We had it delivered to our neighbor’s house for fear of it being delivered in a box that our son / daughter would see a huge picture of it plastered on the side of box. No worries, it didn’t have a big pic anyway and only showed a color photo of it on the side of the box so it wasn’t so obvious. I bought this for our now 5.5 year old son (and one that will be used later for our now 4.25 year old daughte). Actual set up was not that difficult but I am a bit more handy than most and had to resort to some of my big boy wrenches and locking pliers. The rear brake assembly was a bit faulty with a sticking arm that I need to oil again because even after several attempts to get it to free itself after squeezing brake it still wants to rub the wheel. The overall construction and tire size is awesome and very very sturdy! I chose these because the little scooters with little tires look like a flip over just waiting for our little ones to hit a rock or similar hard object. Not trying to send the little ones to the emergency room soon so we are pleased with the sturdiness and the larger tires. My son has ridden it in the basement and has caught on to squeezing the brakes on the handle bars. He has no issues riding it and seems to really like it. He is still making his rounds with all the toys he got for Xmas but as soon as spring comes (we live in Chicago land) he will then get to experiment more with it and I can give an update on how well it works for him. I give 5 starts but I think the issues I had with the brakes were too much and if I didn’t have a little extra fix it know how I would have been p*****d about it and gave up on it. Compared with other smaller wheel scooters this one is tops!! Well worth the money I spent. Less than [...] bucks with shipping.

Neat scooter…but required replacement parts and repair – D. Mills – St. Louis, MO
We ordered 2 of these scooters for our boys for Christmas. When assembling, there was one that came with a bent screw (the major screw holding on the brake assembly)– had to call company to order new one. It did arrive about a week later. The second scooter assembled pretty well…but the brake assembly is difficult to adjust. It doesn’t tighten enough to make it seem safe for the kids to ride. We’ll be taking these to a local bike shop for brake install/repair. Hopefully, the brakes can be adjusted properly and they will be safe to ride soon. These look pretty cool…so, we’ll see.

This looks like a very sturdy scooter but I have to give it a low ranking as we’ve been unable to get a response from customer service and now have to return the scooter to Amazon.
I ordered the scooter for my 9 year old for Christmas. This was his “big” gift. As one of the other reviewers commented, unlike other items I’ve ordered from Amazon that come in a very discrete brown box, this box has a huge picture of the scooter on it. Luckily it was delivered while my son was at school and I was able to hide it from him.
Unfortunately, the stem/handlebars did not come pre-assembled as indicated in the instructions and as a result, we had to try to figure out how to install the hand brakes. I searched the Kent website for instructions, called and left messages with customer service twice and sent them two emails asking for help but never received a response. I’m returning the scooter today and we’ll order a scooter from a different company.
I will say, it looks like a very sturdy scooter and someone with a little more experience might be able to figure out how to install the hand brakes. I wasn’t going to risk it.
